Stray Dog Pub & Cafe
During the 2008 Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, I had the chance to play at the Stray Dog bar and grill. I love this place so much: small and tucked out of the way it truly has a lot of great music coming through it during poetry week. The most regular entertainer is my good friend Mike Beck, a wonderful performer and writer and singer of stories.
On one of the nights an amazing friend showed up….Mr. Ramblin' jack Elliott!
I had met Mr. Elliott earlier this year when at a party in Utah, soon afterwards he asked me to perform with him at a show in California…..what a great guy!
Also, as Mike pointed out this is one of the few occasions you will see Jack playing an electric guitar….Great times and great tunes in Elko!
